27-FEB-09 Bushfire Aid "Truck & Trailor loaded and ready to go"

Monday the 2nd March Action Tanks head South to assist the fire victims. Flowersdale, Marysville and surrounds will have the capability to store 63,000L of water with 18 above ground food-grade polyethylene rainwater tanks.

With plenty of room to pack goods around the tanks, Randall Crisp Managing Director of Action Tank Industries, sent out a plea to all their clients to jump on board the freight train and give a hand to the bushfire victims and get them back on track to rebuilding their lives. "Not only do they need fresh drinking water but also they are in dire need of work clothing and hand tools".

The OFFICIAL OPENING of VEGGIE VILLAGE was on Saturday 7th March by Mayor Bob Abbot with the Official fruit tree planting by Bob at 9.00am Veggie Village is a Community Garden at Di Hirst Oval, Peregian Beach. The Village uses permaculture techniques to teach people how to grow their own fruit & vegetables in individual and communal veggie patches.

30-JAN-09 Rudd's National Tank Rebate "Water for the Future"

From today the national rainwater and grey water initative starts, with up to $500 reimbersement available for the purchase and installation of a rainwater tank or grey water system.

Penny Wong stated that less than 10% of households throughout Australia are fitted with a rainwater tank (excluding Adelaide who tallys 40% of households).

Details of rebate:
> Rainwater Tank must be connected for internal re-use of the water for toilet and/or laundry
> Reimbersed $400 for 2000 - 3,999L tank
> Reimbersed $500 for 4000+ L tank

SPONSORSHIP NOOSA LIONS FOOTBALL CLUB The 1st round of the 2009 season will kick off on March 19 with the under 6, 7 and 8’s wearing our logo on their jerseys for good luck, we wish them a great season and a promising future with the sport. Training starts Tuesday March 3 for these little Tacs. As the Club is run by a voluntary based committee we are pleased that the 2008 sponsorship was the Noosa Lions F.C’s most successful year and hope 2009 proves to be even better. The Club was reported to have raised enough money to supply every junior member with a new strip, make improvements with their facilities and improve lighting. This year one area they are focusing on improving is managing the under 9’s more efficiently. We are proud at Action Tank Industries to be able to assist them to reach their goals.

Sunshine Beach State High School Year 11 students had a very productive morning touring Action Tank Industries manufacturing factory the tour was organized to assist their studies in writing a Life Cycle Analysis Report of Polyethylene Rainwater Tanks
The report required the collection of various sources of information, some being the primary and secondary resource materials, manufacturing processes, energy and water consumptions during manufacture and use, product life expectancy, end use and the ability of the product to be recycled.

Action Tank Industries.....has deployed a new telephone system.

".... we have built a second factory and accordingly it was necessary to upgrade our information technology and communication systems," Crisp says to deal with this new growth Action Tank Industries deployed a Panasonic TDE-200 Phone Systeman IPX-PBX that supports the VOIP natively.
