first flush diverterAboveground and Underground First Flush Diverters improve water quality, reduce tank maintenance and protect assets such as pumps, toilet systems and washing machines. This is achieved by preventing the first flush of water, which may contain contaminants from the roof, from entering the system.

The Action Tanks Complas child-safe first flush diverter consists of a collection chamber, in which the water is diverter to. As it fills the float ball rises to the top, sealing the chamber and allowing a free flow of clean water into the rainwater tank system. The diverted water is slowly drained away from the first flush collection chamber.

Fitted with a stainless steel mesh strainer and strong upper ledge, the diverter significantly reduces contaminates and vermin entering the tank, and also prevents children accessing the internal area. The inclusion of the First Flush Diverter in an underground Rainwater harvesting System provides the same benefits as in the aboveground applications.

This unit is completely concealed within the tank for a smooth clean look and is suitable for all tanks with circular inlet strainers. In addition, the above ground internal first flush diverter acts as a child safe barrier, strong enough to hold an adults weight, preventing children from accessing the internal area of a tank and the contained water.
